Dubai: The Dubai Media Office has issued the annual book of Scenes from a Journey which is considered to be a comprehensive documentary reference to the most important activities of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The book covers Shaikh Mohammad’s most important activities in 2010 and includes his most important meetings with Arab, and foreign kings, presidents and leaders, as well as other prominent world figures.
The book also documents Shaikh Mohammad’s meetings with Arab and world leaders on official visits to the UAE.
Among the events documented are Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak’s visit and the visit by Queen Elizabeth II.
The book also has exclusive photographs of Shaikh Mohammad’s meetings throughout 2010 with a number of leaders, economic, social, cultural and international sports activities.
Local events and meetings with leaders of major sectors and departments in the UAE were also documented.
The book contains three major historic events. One was Shaikh Mohammad’s launching of Burj Khalifa, the highest building on earth at a height of 828 metres.
The second major event is Shaikh Mohammad’s official opening of the Al Maktoum International Airport which will become one of the biggest airports for passengers and aerial cargo shipments in the world.
The third major event is Shaikh Mohammad’s official opening of Meydan the biggest horse racing track whose launching coincided with the opening of the Dubai International Horse Race Championship in 2010. Scenes from a Journey has 224 pages.
