Dubai: More than 1,000 people participated in a test of Dubai’s new airport Al Maktoum International at Dubai World Central (DWC) over the weekend, according to Dubai Airports.
In a statement on Monday, the airports body said that 1,200 Dubai residents were involved in an “extensive operation trial” at the new airport on Saturday.
The trial — designed to evaluate the readiness of staff, systems, and process at the airport — followed other preliminary exercises involving airport employees, Dubai Airports stated.
As a part of the drill, the volunteers played the role of passengers arriving and departing, testing signage and the flow of traffic throughout the building. More info
