In just a few decades, Dubai has risen from relative obscurity to become a global leader in the world of aviation.
Emirates Airlines, their national carrier, is the third largest airline in the world according to CAPA Center for Aviation, and at the rate it’s growing, it won’t be long before it beats out Delta and United to the top the list.
The city is host to one of the biggest events on the aerospace calendar: the biennial Dubai Airshow. The five-day show, which kicks off November 17 this year, will be held for the first time at the city’s new $32 million Al-Maktoum International Airport — set to bethe world’s largest on its 2027 completion.
